I just have to post some information about a wonderful Studio I discovered this Summer. It's called Rockflower Studio in Lakewood. It is owned by Christine Hill, a wonderful watercolorist and an incredible instructor. Check out the classes available.

"Juniper's Home Sweet Home"

This painting is a commission of a home in Ohio City. The owner wanted me to paint her sweet dog sitting on the front porch. The previous post shows a portrait of her dog. I just had to paint him separately. He was full of personality.

This painting looks a little frozen and stiff, partly because that is how my dog looks when she spots her favorite squirrel friend outside. She stares it down and will not move a muscle until the squirrel makes a run for it. It's a daily routine in the life of my dog, "Summer".
